I'm doing a little informal research into the striking of Anglo Saxon
pennies, and need some observations.
In general, is there die chatter or doubling on only one side of an
A-S penny, with the other side being a clear strike?
If so, what side is bobbled?
Do you notice that this effect only happens during certain series?
Which one(s)?
What is the occurrence of uniface A-S pennies?
What is the occurrence of untrimmed pennies: pennies still on their
square planchets?
