I'm probably "teaching an old dog new tricks" but for outright stock
removal you should be looking at numbers below 100, like 40, 60, 80.

Once the metal is roughed out then switch to numbers around 150, 180
for fini****ng to size. Once you have the metal ground to final shape
then you go up to 200 - 300 for final finish. After that it is
poli****ng..

Of course, some of this is dependent on the speed your machine is
running.
