Hello
as per the subject line I wondered if anyone could suggest the name
for a couple of old arcade games I used to play. Both were around the
Mr Doh, Nemisis, Ikari Warrior era in the UK - when a credit was 10p
and both controlled with the standard joystick and probably just two
buttons. Also pretty sure both were single player only.
Game 1:
- Top down view.
- You played a man but would spend most of the time in a car - a dark
coloured sports type car.
- You could get out of the car if the car was near exploding but if
you did not find a new car soon you would be dead preety quick by
superior enemies also driving cars - mainly orange.
- The setting was desert like with dwellings at the side of the scrren
and most times you would travel south to north direction.
- Your and the enemies bullets were large orange sprites.
I cannot remeber the ultimate aim of the game or if it had end of
level bosses. Any help appreciated.
Game 2
- You were a spaceship and you viewed it from behind.
- The background of the game was actual film footage.
- Small enemy spaceships I think being graphics but it had a big
mothership (Like the one at beginnign of star wars) that was part of
the film and you had to destroy - all seem ed a bit random for hit
detection.
Appreciate the details are scant and quite vague but after trying and
failing to find these on the internet I turn to your goodselves or
help.
