Thanks Everyone... I just did a complete rebuild on the monitor
including new transistors and heat sync compound. The compound is
good. I'll go ahead with a fan, but to me it seems as though there
must be something else causing the excess heat. I thought a fan would
fix the end result of the monitor shutting down, but not fix the
problem. If its fairly common, I'll do it and stop worrying.
