Skee ball coin mech issues

by Walt Weber <waltweberjr@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 17, 2008 at 10:24 PM

Hi,
I am trying to help a friend repair his skeeball machine. This is a
50's only model, electronic, my guess is from the early 80's. I used
to work on these, but it has been some time.

Currently, the coin mech is not connected to anything; it has a wire
work around to a switch to bypass the coin slot, but there are no
wires from the right side molex plug leading to the bottom of the
mech. There are two wire groupings which appear to be cut, both are
red, green, black. They both lead to the molex plug, right under the
solenoid, on the ball dispenser side.

I am currently not getting any voltage off of any of these wire
connections, and when I connect them to jump it, and bypass the mech
altogether, I get nothing. No voltage on any wire pair, and thegame
will not energize. It was in working order, but my friend's kids were
playing with it, and I am not sure what happened.

All connections are seated properly. Any help would be greatly
appreciated!

Walt
