Hi John,
Thanks for the reply.
The board I have is engraved with 'Paddle Battle', and I have some
VERY bad scans of the schematics for Paddle Battle, the problem is
that someone has hand written 'Super Soccer' on the board, and the
board itself looks modified with some IC's being removed, traces cut,
and a single wire connecting two ic's.
I have managed to hook the board up to a composite TV and it displays
a bouncing balls, and the two score counters at the top of the screen
(which strangely show 1's not 0's as I would expect). Sometimes
(mostly) only one score counter comes up, and the other is missing.
The paddles are not visible, and I have been trying to coin it up, but
the line that is supposed to do the coining (I don't have the board in
front of me but from memory it's pin 12 on the edge connector) does
not seem to connect to anything, and this line ends in an unconnected
pad???
Another unusual aspect of this board is that someone has painted over
the tops every chip so that it is impossible to see what IC they are.
Unfortunately the schematics I have are so bad that they are next to
useless. I was assuming that Paddle Battle and Super Soccer share the
same basic board layout, and that if I could find the Super Soccer
schematics would be a great help.
Thanks
