Question on wiring in-line fuse for DK cab

by Darwin <darwinliao@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 11, 2008 at 09:40 PM

Hi,

This might be a dumb question but I wanted to verify before I re-
wired.

I noticed in the DK cabinet I received that the AC cord (which I am
replacing because the grounding pin was removed) had the white
(neutral) wire going to the in-line fuse on the power switch assembly.

This cabinet had been convered to JAMMA and there was some rewiring to
bypass the on/off toggle switch (which I will also replace).

The cabinet did work when plugged into the outlet with this
configuration but if I do replace the cord the proper way is to use
the black or hot lead into the fuse assembly rather than neutral?

I was under the impression that any in-line fuse should be connected
to the hot or live wire (black lead) before going to a on/off
switch.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks in advance.

Darwin
