Hello all,
I would like to create a test rig/ low foot print game console that
would interface the various JAMMA arcade PCB's I have to a nice
lightweight flatscreen TV/Monitor or Video Projector.
Up to now I been using a really old 19" CTX commercial RGB monitor
that is extremely large and heavy. The monitor is getting flaky now
and I want to 'upgrade' it to an LCD monitor or projector.
Now the situation is that I would like to use an SVGA system because
then I could also hook a computer up to the rig and test out some MAME
setups as well. Thus killing two birds with one stone.
I have noticed that many newer projectors and monitors use what is
called component video now. Upon closer examination it seems that
component video could very well accept the old RGB with Sync
standard...however, I am not 100% sure.
The bottom line is that I would like to know what I would need to make
this work, or what kind of monitor/projector I should be on the look
out for. Regardless I do still want the system to be able to accept
a computer signal so that I can also hook up my computer to the rig if
I wanted to.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Thank You,
E.
