Tech: Linking 2 pairs of Sega Daytonas together

by Kyle Wren <kylewrenTAKE@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 7, 2008 at 10:42 AM

I already have a working pair of Daytona USA sit-down driving games in my
collection. These are linked "internally" via two opto cables. I just
bought a
second pair and I want to eventually link all 4 of them together. This new
pair
has the "opto connection ports" on the back of of the coin box (labeled Tx
and
Rx respectively), but my first pair doesn't have this (although I did find
a
spare opto cable in the coin box to that one).

My questions are, do I have enough to link both of these pairs together?
And if
not (and I need additional cable or those connection joiner things) are
those
things I can get at like a stereo shop? The cable and connections appears
to be
the same as what I have used in my surround sound installation, but maybe
it is
proprietary and I would have to get everything from Sega?

Any advice is appreciated!
