I've seen the Department 56 and such villages and they look very
cool...but I'm not really excited by buying lots of pieces and putting
them together in a display. Are there "do it yourself" villages?
I was thinking that modelers have made dioramas, railroad scenes,
models, etc. for years (though to be honest, some of the dioramas are
little more than "buy x, y, and z and arrange so" formulas).
Anyway...any resources on "build from scratch" villages? Books?
