In regard to the Sultan's face, it should be remembered that
the Turkish Sultan Mehmed V had died on July 3,1918 and
the new sultan was in place when the overprinted stamps were
issued.
Mehmed VI (Vahideddin) ruled to 01 Nov 1922, when he was
deposed.
