Ditto - agreed.

Which is not a bad thing.  "Lurker" may seem like a dirty word to
some, but it really isn't.  Some people do not want to get wrapped up
in this stuff.  It has been quite some time since I lurked in
newsgroups, but have had many positive encounters with many people,
worldwide.

I believe that information like this helps the hobby - newsgroups and
discussions breed curiosity and questions - many of which get answered
but some simply have to be worked on.

If I hadn't come to this newsgroup (and others) and got involved when
I did, certain parts of my 'tude would be quite different and that may
not be a good thing.  :^)  Stamp collecting is a solitary hobby,
except when at the trade shows / clubs / etc.  This allows me to share
some info I have and learn more about the hobby myself.

Stamp collecting has helped me start being a global person instead of
a local person.  We do need a lot more of that.
