Everyone has surely seen self-inking stamps in which the "at rest"
position has the die against an internal stamp pad, and which, when
depressed, flips the die around 180 degrees to impress ink upon the
paper. I have several examples, some of which have adjustable date and
message wheels.
Does anyone know of one that self-increments a number after each
impression, via clockwork gears, perhaps? The idea would be to print
00001, then 00002, then 00003, etc., incrementing each time an impression
is made. I would find it *exceedingly* useful for indexing stock cards.
