A photograph apparently intended for use in a French-language
newspaper shows the beginning of the MacRobertson International Air
Race. A =93cutline=94 in longhand at the top of the photo roughly
translates (I think) as "21-10-34 =97 Yesterday at Mildenhall Aerodrome,
(Suffolk) at the beginning of the air race from England to Australia,
Parmentier and Moll start their Cyclone [engines]. They are currently
in second place."
Can any French speaker confirm the above translation, or supply
corrections? A (mostly) readable image is at
http://www.bcphilatelic.org/Uiver_race_beginning.jpg.
