Not being familiar with the native culture makes it harder for me to
appreciate the
symbolic things in some of the designs.

D.C. is mostly African American so I think those designs are
appropriate in that
context.   The survey guy is rather obscure.


The generic looking street scene for Puerto Rico does nothing for me
as that looks like it could be anyplace,

American Samoa is just so so.  at least they don't have an outline of
the five islands.

The sailboat and palm tree for Guam is OK,  the island outline is
boring.

The man blowing a conch shell for the Virgin Islands is neat,  don't
understand what
the wording "First in freedom" has to do with it but it probably ties
into their
history somehow.   The other two designs with a bird and three
standing women
with island outlines are dull.

While the fighting on the Northern Mariana islands during
WWII was im****tant I don't see it as really celebrating native culture
and would
put the coin more towards being like  a military commemorative rather
than celebrating the islands themselves.
