I was called to look at a house, it has long been delapidated and I was
asked to come as as rep from the Historical Society and give my opinion on
some things.
Anyway, in the back room (one of only 2 rooms with soild floors, the rest
already caved in) was a cardboard box and several bottles. The owner
allowed
me to have two of them for the Historical Society.
The two small corked bottle have something in each. A blue powder that has
solidified and an amber crystalized substance that is glued together in
time. They have a stamp on the bottom and they say " TCW CO 3 USA"
The bottle do have very faint seems. This indicated after 1900, but how
close to or how far past 1900 I cannot be sure.
A little history on the strange house (Bricked between the frame work for
some strange reason and then clap boarded back over, the brick is what I
was
called out to evaluate) Likely some sort of an attempt at insulating or
adding strength. It is attached to an industial like building next door. A
Printer used it at one time and before that it was used as a feed store
all
by the same family.
Please view the photos and tell me what you think. (Will add a few photos
of
the house for the fun of it, but It is the bottles I want your opinion
on).
