Mike,
I have googled 19th Century "Hoop Back", childrens chair and have
come up with no information. Do you know where else to look for
information on this child's chair?

What "information" didn't he give you? No one but your
family knows anything about "this" chair. He gave you
enough information, as did I, for you to know that it's
"best just to keep". There's really nothing special about
your chair EXCEPT the fact that your grandma owned it.
That makes it priceless to you....but it's not worth much
to anyone else. Maybe $5 or $10 if it were cleaned up
(and it'll cost more than that to get it ready to sell). Keep
it and appreciate it.
