obtained an Emerson Tube radio from my Uncle and am in the process of
trying to restore it. I have restored allot of vintage items before
but never a tube radio. I have very little experience in this type of
stuff however I can use a soldering iron and have worked on 12 volt
automotive electronics before so I think it’s doable. I’ve already
disassembled the case and started removing the tubes and dial getting
them all nice and clean. I know i will have to sand blast the chassis
and paint it but I don’t have a problem with that, if I am going to
rebuild this I want it to be like new when I am done. I also know that
this will take some time for me to do but it’s not something I am
doing to make a buck. When and if this radio is completed it will be
something passed on to my children over time as are the rest of the
stuff I have rebuilt like my clocks. In any case if yall can help with
any information on this unit clear chassis pics of the wiring and what
no please let me know and thanks ahead of time for yalls help.
