I don't mean to knock this kind of car , but I was surprised with the
milage 35-40 MPG?
as a comparison I looked at the honda civic made in 1973 , according
to Wikipedia it got 40 and 48 MPG
and now 35 years later we aren't doing any better.. Those old hondas
sure did rust though.

I see a lot of those here in Vancouver, and I can race them in my old
volvo wagon and they don't even know it :)
They take off pretty effortlessly. I too would be scared with the
number of SUV's and bad driving habits due to lack of enforcement,
but It is nice to see the trend toward smaller cars, in time maybe
they won't seem like the smallest things on the road.
