HELP WITH GROUND!

by "bossman71_ky" <bossman71_ky@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 4, 2008 at 09:45 AM

Quick question for the experts on here...

I've built the Lil' 7 AM transmitter, and am fairly satisfied with it
other
than range limitations. It's range is about 5 feet right now, however,
it's
not grounded, as I live in a 3rd floor apartment, so a wire out the window

is out of the question. Also, pipes are all PVC, so I can't use those.

I do, however, have a copper pipe that runs from my AC unit inside to my
AC
unit outdoors. If I ground the pipe outside, could I connect it to the
transmitter inside and SAFELY use it as a ground? I believe there may be
a
refrigerant running through the line, but I'm not totally sure...I'm not
very adept at HVAC...

Any help here is appreciated!

John
