What TF G-1 Toys do you deem as lost causes/impossible for new mold
updated homages?
SPECIAL NOTE: REPAINTS DON'T COUNT. Those rubbery vinyl 2 inch Takara/
hasbro PVC's don't count.
Here's my list of the TF G-1 toys that I think will never,ever get a
updated TF homage mold:
(1)Skylynx WHY? because he had no robot mode.
(2)Trypticon. WHY? No robot mode
(3)Fortress Maximus WHY? He had his chance for armada to be the GOOD
base for all the mini-cons. hasbro blew it big time. I just don't see
how he'll slip back into a future TF toy line.
(4)all the Takara exclusive TF G-1 molds minus starsabre & victoryleo
who got a few updated takara molds. Apparently Hasbro & Takara only
want to do updated G-1 homeages of the first 3 years worth of TF from
1984-1987.
(5)Blaster,WHY? He's destined to be a repaint of whatever new mold
soundwave gets.
(6)Pretenders,WHY? Hasbro most likely deems this as one of the reasons
the G-1 line failed with consumers. I Personally would love to see
Thunderwing get a updated homage mold with his pretender shell. one
pretender couldn't hurt the TF sales?
(7)Almost all of the 1987-1990 TF G-1 toys. apparently hasbro doesn't
see the potential some of these molds had. Hasbro only wants for the
most part the first 3 years from 1984-1986 for updated homage molds.
most likely due to the wide media they received. I think scorponok was
the only year 4/1987 TF G-1 toy to get a few new mold updated homage
molds.
(8)TF G-1 Autobot cassettes. WHY? Because only soundwave is getting
the new mold treatment. with blaster becomming a repaint of a
soundwave mold. repainted blaster cassettes don't count because the
molds were made for soundwaves cassettes.
Side note: If hasbro deems the 1987-1990+Takara G-1 exclusive TF molds
not worth of homage updates because of there non-media/un-recognizable
nature with the Casual TF fan who slightly only remembers the core TF
characters from the USA cartoon.
WHAT THE HELL IS THE DIFFERENCE IN CREATING NEW CHARACTER MOLDS VERSE
MAKING UPDATED HOMAGE MOLDS OF THE NON-MEDIA/UN-RECONIZABLE TF
1987-1990+TAKARA EXCLUSIVE MOLD CHARACTERS. Why not at the very least
try to please some TF fans that want the obsecure TF G-1 toys get
updated homage molds.
Here's my short of what I think will sell well:
(1)Sixshot,why? 6 modes of conversion.
(2)Pretender Thunderwing why? it's half organic & half metalic. It'll
be interesting if done right.
(3)all those Takara exclusive G-1 TF molds. Why? the molds had a lot
of creativity to offer.
