The Decepticons are blasting away at Sunstorm to no effect. He's
threatening doom on everyone except Starscream, to whom he "offers
salvation." Starscream doesn't buy it; unfortunately Sunstorm's
radioactive abilities are more than a match for Bruticus. The
Autobots on the Orion arrive, shocked as Sunstorm shorts out their
****p! They crash to Earth. Starscream flees; Sunstorm leaves off his
attack on the Autobots and Decepticons in favour of chasing
Starscream.
Back on Cybertron, Optimus Prime is in repair bay (after the events of
G1 Vol 2 War and Peace) and Prowl and Ironhide are wondering how they
will fare against the Decepticons now that the war is active again.=20
(Cybertron has, in War and Peace, recently ended many years of unified
"peace" under Shockwave's rule). Streetwise radios Ultra Magnus (now
back in his usual armour, after being reduced to his "White Prime"
form in WAR AND PEACE) that he has found a hidden Decepticon lab, and
Runabout and Runamok inside. First Aid is repairing them as the
Autobots wonder what Shockwave was up to in that lab...
....the answer of course being Sunstorm, hot in pursuit of Starscream.=20
Starscream is in the Decepticon undersea base, where Sunstorm trails
him and grips him by the throat, referring to him as "brother."
Back at the site of the former ark (blown up last issue) the Autobots
attempt to repair the Orion. Brawn gets some theraputic relief by
beating on the deactivated Bruticus.
Starscream tells Sunstorm how the spaceshuttle the Decepticons
commandeered at the end of War and Peace turned out to be Sky Lynx;
however Soundwave hacked his neural processors and made him obey them.
They reached the undersea base, only to find it damaged; however, a
nearby abandoned military testing ground gave them raw materials (and
alt modes for the Combaticons).
Sunstorm tells Starscream how the two of them are a pair, "two
separate wings that must unite to lift the rest to the heavens." He
claims to have been one with the Oracle that gave him knowledge and
power to carry out its divine mission. He asks Starscream to join
him, but Starscream delays....and then...enter Jetfire!
The Autobots rest inside their finished shuttle, vowing to head off
tomorrow after recharge to find Starscream and learn the location of
Jazz and his teammates. But Bumblebee's rest is postponed by
Starscream and Jetfire!
