If we do the DigiWars thing again, I'm thinking another restart and
maybe a more defined world. I only bring this up because the other
day I had a brainstorm about some factions players could belong to
that would lead to some sort of storyline. The idea with these
factions is that none are necessarily evil and they believe their
goals are just and honorable. You know, like how the War on Terror
was about six years ago. *Cough*
United Network of the Digital World
An idealistic kingdom devoted to spreading peace throughout the
Digital World. As the vast majority of the Digital World is savage,
wild, and chaotic, the UNDW bring order and civilization by
establi****ng DigiFarms and building cities in which Digimon can live
in peace. With the assistance of humans, the UNDW created the Digital
Knights, an organization that recruits Tamers from the human world and
gives them DigiFarms to raise Digimon on. The president of the UNDW
is HiAndromon, a Mega-level cyborg Digimon concerned with liberty and
justice and gives careful consideration to all matters. To lead and
watch over the Digital Knights he appointed Seraphimon, Ophanimon, and
Cherubimon.
The Digital Alliance
To combat the UNDW's encroachment into their lands, the various tribes
of the digital frontier formed the Digital Alliance. The Alliance
believes the UNDW is enslaving native Digimon and stealing their
lands. To help preserve their way of life, the Alliance Counsel began
summoning Tamers from the human world. The Alliance can't make the
same offers the UNDW can, but the ones that fight with them defend the
tribes' right to live as they choose. While the Alliance Counsel is
headed by Zhuquaiomon, Baihumon, Quinlongmon, and Ebonwumon, however
the charismatic general BantyoLeomon has become the spiritual
figurehead of the rebellion.
Lamarckian Initiative
Disgusted with very idea that Digimon with Tamers are more powerful
than Digimon without, many Digimon broke off and formed their own
faction. The Lamarckian Initiative's goal is to prove Digimon don't
need human Tamers to grow stronger, and many of their members will
take every op****tunity to fight Tamers and their Digimon. More
intelligent, and usually higher-ranking, Lamarckians set up
tournaments and contests to more accurately compare strengths. Few
humans are part of the Lamarckian Initiative, and most of them aren't
Tamers. Some of them use D-Tectors to become Digimon themselves, but
like the other Lamarckian Tamers they aren't well respected in the
Initiative. Myotismon, the chairman of the Initiative, believes
Digimon and humans can coexist in the Digital World without the master-
servant relation****p. His head advisor, Jijimon, feels differently,
and would gladly have all humans put to death if Myostimon's ideals
weren't an issue.
Wild Tamers
Sometimes referred to as "Bad Tamers," Wild Tamers is an umbrella term
to describe humans that don't involve themselves in the UNDW/Digital
Alliance conflict. They remain neutral either by choice or because
they managed to enter the Digital World by other means and haven't
even heard of the conflict. The Wild Tamers aren't an organization,
and as such there isn't any true commonality among them. Some form
their own teams and leagues, and some aren't as honorable as others.
Both sides consider the Wild Tamers to be a dangerous, unpredictable
element and will attempt to get them out of the way if they can't be
recruited. Obviously, there is no one leader of the Wild Tamers, but
the term originates from a legendary team of the same name led by the
even more legendary Taylor Roseblade. Taylor, along with Digimon
partner Renamon, was known as a leader among men, whose courage and
passion could unite entire worlds under a single cause. It is not
known where Taylor or Renamon is now.
