I heard about a group that's trying to fansub the fifth season over
here in the states. I wish them luck...
Incidentally, I wonder when the series might make a transition to
widescreen or HD format for television. After all, the Japanese
already have Blu-Ray players and integrated ATSC tuners, so it seems
logical that a transition will be made soon. Trouble here is, most
stations (with the exception of network terrestrial broadcast stations)
lack HD equipment, along with many consumers(it's a bit of a chicken
and egg scenario), while the cable and satellite companies are
price-gouging for other HD content (I want Discovery Channel HD, but we
use an old-style antenna for HD reception since the basic
cable+broadband costs enough already.) Hmm.
