I have several Waterman's, Expert and Phileas. The Phileas is my preferred
daily writer, and I have several; I really like the size and heft and
performance of the pen.
One of my favorites (and most used) is a Phileas fine-point that is no
more
than a couple of years old. All of a sudden it has started leaking,
apparently around the base of the nib. I've cleaned it and see no reason
for the leak, nothing seems to be loose, and I don't think the pen has
been
dropped or damaged (which I have done with others!). Is there something
else I can do to correct this? The Phileas is readily available at
relatively low prices, so it's not worth having it repaired
professionally,
but I hate to just toss it out.
Thanks,
Bart
