Thanks To Mark Miller (in MN) for telling me how to do this the "easy" way.
For the record..
1) Unscrew and remove the plastic caps at the bottom of the siderails
on the door.
2) (optional?) Unscrew and remove the chrome trim from the bottom of the
siderail of the door.
3) Remove the screw from the inside of the door about 2/3 of the way up
that holds the lamp in place.
4) Detach the wires going into the top of the siderail on the door from
the terminal block (4 of them per).
5) Detach the ground wire from the lug on the door.
6) tape the loose wires together and then attach a piece of string to
the end of the wire bundle.
7) carefully pull the lamp and mount out from the bottom of the door
while guiding the wire bundle through the top.
8) replace the bulb.
9) Slide the bulb assy back into the track in the door. You will need
to be careful you have it in the track properly or it won't go in all
the way.
10) Use the string on the end of the wire bundle to help pull the wires
and lamp back into place.
11) Clean averything.
12) reverse steps 5-1.
If you do one side at a time you will be able to use the other as a
refence.
cheers
