Tech: AMI "G" Push rod for the selector?

by Tim <nabours@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 11, 2008 at 01:39 PM

Had a guy bring in an AMI "G" for repair. I think we're missing a
part. When you make a selection it seems to make all the clicks and so
on but it doesn't push the selector pin in the back to the play
position. The arm moves to the correct pin but doesn't push it.
I took off the arm to make sure everything moves free and is
lubricated. I don't seem to understand what pushes on this to make the
selection.
There is a brass tube from the selector up front going through the
record magizine to the back but there is nothing inside. How is it
suppose to make the selection? I don't have a book to see what's
gone. I know that would help.
Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim Nabours
